Broadway Street. On the left is the Hotel Astor building in Times Square, which occupied the space between 44th and 45th Streets and was demolished in 1968. On the right is the Lowe's State Theatre building at 1540 Broadway. This was the last theatre in Times Square to continue booking vaudeville shows as demand declined in the 1930s.
